Summary: A stand-up comedian who fights his demons and tries to face the problems that his life brings to him. Besides his comedies, he desperately tries to keep the balance between his love life and his stand-ups.

Louie C. K. is a stand-up comedian who just divorced his wife, but they both still take care of their daughters. Trough out the episodes, we see bits and pieces of Louie’s life that might not seem connected at the beginning. Louie goes on a date that ends catastrophically.
Another thing that ends the same way, is the field trip with his two daughters. After the divorce, he tries to make a change in his love life. He goes on another trip and meets several women along the way. While trying to figure out his life, he starts hanging out with his neighbor and gets high with him. At the end of the season, he remembers his difficult times from his past.
Louie gets a visit from his pregnant sister and takes her to the hospital because she is in pains. Given the situation, he gets a little bit of father-daughter bonding time. His romantic life seems to be changing, he gets an unexpected and maybe inappropriate offer from a woman whose child goes to the same school with his younger daughter.
He also looks for an apartment, but the search does not seem to be successful. After another trip with his daughters, we get to meet another woman in his life, his friend Pamela. However, Pamela goes to France, to see her ex-husband and her son.
Another difficult day in Louie’s life. His girlfriend breaks-up with him, his car is destroyed and he keeps fighting with his ex-wife. After a dinner with his daughter, he goes out and finds out that his wife and his friend set him up with Laurie. Even though that was not one of their best dates, they want to go out again. Louie’s daughters are also interested in his love life, so he tries to find a woman that will impress them.
But, having many dates and sexual encounters has its own disadvantages – Maria calls him to tell him that he probably has crabs. However, he is now a little bit closer to his daughters. On Christmas Eve they have a dinner together and unwrap presents.
Couple of nights out, a couple of women, some injuries, few shopping trips and taking care of his daughters summarize season four. Again, Louie is fighting with his ex-wife, but this time about his daughter’s future. Louie learns that raising teenagers is not easy.
While Louie is with Amia, he sees Pamela again and recalls his feelings for her. After he breaks up with Amia, he tries to get back together with Pamela. They go on a date and enter into a romantic relationship, but she is still reserved and does not express her feelings as much as Louie.
