Summary: Ragnar Lothgar is the greatest warrior of his age. This series tells his story of rising and becoming the King of the Viking tribes, it also shows us his relationship with his family and friends.

At a meeting Ragnar Lothbrok urges Earl Haraldson to send ship to raid an island called England. Earl refuses telling Ragnar that there is nothing on the West.
Ragnar prepares with his new crew for leaving with his new-built ship, his wife wants to join him in this adventure but he forbids her and tell her that someone needs to stay at home taking care of the kids.
After a succesfull raid, Ragnar and his crew return home proudly. Ragnar has a new slave, he learns from him a lot about England and has an intention to learn their language.
Ragnar insist that they wait until tomorrow morning to attack. Knut rapes a woman, after Ragnar’s wife intervenes e tries to rape her as-well, she murders him.
Earl attacks Ragnar’s farm with the intention to teach him a lesson. Ragnar surrenders and with it allows his wife and children to escape.
Ragnar issues a challenge for Earl, one on one, a fight until the death. Earl rejects him under the pretense that he is a criminal. Earl later accepts after he realizes that he is injured and that he has the upper hand.
Ragnar arrives with three boatloads in England and sets camp. King Aelle and his brother are quickly defeated in the night by Ragnar and his army.
Ragnar and his family travel to Uppsala to pay homage to the Gods. Ragnar stills cannot accept the fact that his kid is dead.
Ragnar, his brother Rollo, son Bjorn and Floki travel to Götland after a request from King Horik to negotiate a land dispute with Jarl Borg.
Ragnar and Horik’s army start their battle with Jarl Borg who is accompanied with Rollo. Princess Auslag has a big surprise ready.
4 peaceful years have passed with Ragnar as the Earl. Now it’s time for a raid on England, Ragnar and his men may have met their toughest opponents thus far.
Ragnar dominates in the West while Borg has his own plans for the future of Kattegat.
Ragnar and Ecbert come face to face, a compromise might occur. Jarl Borg now rules with Kattegat, Rollo rules in Ragnar’s absence.
Lagerta and Ragnar unite once again, Athelstan struggles to define his faith while Aslaug must face the truth of her prophecies.
Horik returns with a surprise proposition for Ragnar. Athelstan becomes a mole for King Ecbert.
Ragnar and Horik class over some different opinions on important matters. King Aelle arrives in Wessex and Ecbert is planning a new alliance.
Princess Aslaug’s prophecy came true. Ragnar and Horik have different goals in their trip to Wessex. Ragnar’s warriors attack King Ecnert’s villa, they are in for a big surprise.
Ragnar returns to Kattegat after his defeat in Wessex, he puts his trues in people who have stayed by his side all this time.
The third season of Vikings is expected to premiere in February 2015, since it was renewed for 10 episodes in March 2014.
