Tate is on death row, his execution is in 30 minutes. A priest pays him a visit and tells him that he will help him escape if he does him a favor when they get out.
Tate is supposed to take care of a little girl, a girl that has superpowers. She can sense what others are feeling and she can also influence their decisions.Powerful forces are after her abilities, Tate’s first job is to take her to safety.
Elizabeth Farrell, an FBI agent is assigned to Tate’s case, before she starts with her investigation, she is told by the Director of the FBI that Bo Adams is with him and that he is far more important. Bo and Tate are travelling to Philadelphia, the stop in Atlantic City to gamble, Bo’s help was crucial.
Milton Greene and Roman Skouris sit down for a cup of coffee to set aside their differences. Roman was the one who suggested it, Skouris said he doesn’t want anything to do with it and accuses him of manipulating Bo.
Tate risks his freedom in order to help Bo find a love lost letter. Bo and Tate are in Philadelphia, Bo gets drawn to a couple, in the meantime Skouras takes the necessary actions to find a traitor.
Tate takes the opportunity to go home and look for the old friend who framed him for murder. At the same time Skouras seeks a telepath.
After an ugly confrontation, Bo is left vulnerable, for that reason Winter seeks into her past guardians in order to find someone to take care of her. Tate and Winter do everything they can in order to help her, while looking into her past they find out some interesting things about Channing’s history. Skouras pushes Sean about his powers and things get out of control. Winter is worried that Skouras has the ability to find Bo, he sends Channing on a mission.
Bo helps a family man even though she was instructed to keep low profile. Tate tries to keep Bo focused on training, that gets very difficult after Bo has a premonition for a musical prodigy. Bo and Tate’s effort to stop a subway bombing goes bad after they get trapped.
Channing has a bad gun shot wound, her recovary is in question, Winter takes desperate measures to keep her alive. While Winter is distracted, Bo and Tate take the opportunity to confront Skouras and make him stop going after them.
Dani was never more angry, she tries to destroy the Orchestra, Bo and Tate want to start over by themselves. Bo doesn’t want to use her powers anymore, she seems not to have a choice after a young woman disappears.
