A school bus is taken, all the kids are kidnapped, among them is the President’s son and the daughter of a heads the powerful business conglomerate Meg Fitch. Susie Dunn, an FBI agent is informed about the situation by her sister Meg, the sister she hasn’t been in contact for a while.
A ransom needs to happen in order for Fitch to get his daughter back, he starts making the arrangement. The Pakistani ambassador does the unthinkable in order to get his son back. Dunn and Finley start working in uncovering the disappearance of one of the agents. Finley and Dunn meet with the President and First Lady, they realize that the Chief of Staff is the next to get his kid back.
Dunn and Finley look into the past of the parents, three of the parents are helping in order to get a piece of the mastermind’s puzzle. At the same time Meg deals with the consequences of her actions.
Gibson uses his wife to get some valuable information, Meg does anything in order to get Amber back. Finley and Dunn have a great plan to rule the kidnappers out, Finley even gets a one on one with one of them. In order to get some information, Meg betrays a close friend.
Finley and Dunn talk directly to the kidnappers, they are both being pulled into different direction. They learn that Gibson is part of the kidnapping scheme. President Devore visits the FBI headquarters, Finley and Dunn are given the freedom to share their theories behind the kidnapping. Gibson makes a difficult decision where he sends a parent on a mission that could result with a war between USA and China.
Jin Lao’s body is found, at the kidnap house, Ian reveals that he was forced to kill Jin. Gibson needs more time, for that reason he contacts another parent, this time a neo-Nazi.
A hostage exchange is about to happen, Finley goes into the house.
Gibson takes extreme measures into leading everyone to believe his innocents. The tables are turned and so is Gibson’s situation. After receiving a cryptic message, Ian and Amber leave for a dangerous mission.
