Summary: It’s a story about a typical American family, only this one is going through divorce. The family includes the parents, two kids, and a guide dog. Important notice, the dad is blind.

11 year old Henry met the most important person of his life when he was only 4 and a half minutes old, his father Mel Fisher. Mel is a successful lawyer and an amazing father, he is also blind.
Mel has been hiding the fact that he is blind for some time, he managed to achieve that very cautiously. Now he faces the challenge to reveal his blindness in the hope that he will not lose his business.
Mel and his son go after women, later they find out that they are mother and daughter. Joyce crashes Katie’s date at the carnival.
Mel finds out that he has trust issues, meanwhile Kate goes missing, Mel and Joyce team up to find her. Henry in order to escape home, forces Runyen to sleep over at his place.
Joyce wants more independence, for that reason she tries to find work. Mel is full of support until she gets a job at his law firm.
Mel loses it after he find marijuana in his daughter’s bag. He gets even more outraged after he finds out that his ex put it there.
Katie gets her driving licence, while Joyce tries to fit in with her classmates.
While trying to find a new friend, Mel realizes that he shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
Mel fears that Henry is becoming a slacker, for that reason he shows him what success is like.
Joyce accidentally finds out that her daughter has intentions to sleep with her boyfriend after the dance.
Joyce panics over her success at school, while Mel tries to prove a point.
The family goes on a trip to Catalina once again. Jenny and Henry kiss for the firs time.
