Rectify

Daniel Holden gets released after 19 years on death row, he survived by reading books and meditation. His sister and mother always waited for him. His mother has remarried, Daniel meets his new step brother, he also gets a new job. Daniel disappears, Amantha and her attorney start looking for him, it turns out he was only taking a walk. Amantha wants to continue her affair with John, the lawyer who things it’s too risky. Ted Jr. lets Daniel know a little more about the business, Daniel later reveals a prison story. There is a trouble between Ted Jr. and Tawney.
Daniel rediscovers the young self, firstly through music and then while skateboarding with Jared. Senator Foulkes threatens Jon, Ted Jr. is out of town, Tawney pays Daniel a visit with some monkey bread.
Jon wants to talk about a retrial, he contacts the local D.A. Daniel and his mother go to the box store, on the way out the get ambushed by reporters. His mother takes him to the church, the same church where Tawney works. An old school friend sees Daniel at the book store and offers him a haircut.
Six days have gone by after Daniel’s release, in 3 AM he goes for a walk, he hitches a ride with a man that asks for help. Ted Jr. finds out that Tawney has been talking with Daniel while he was away at a conference. Daniel’s mother asks him to help her redo her kitchen. He buys a gift at the bookstore, someone puts a cherry bomb at Janet and Ted’s mailbox. Trey thinks he knows where George might be.

Daniel has been attacked, his injuries are bad and the attackers might escape justice, at least that’s what his family thinks. Ted Jr. has a big and shameful secret that he keeps from his wife. Sherriff Daggett starts investigating Daniel’s case.
Daniel is in coma, Amantha fears the worst. Teddy gets some bad news from Tawney. Jared learns a lot more about his older brother and Hanna Dean. Daniel wakes up from his coma, he makes an unusual decision, Janet defends his choice, Amantha is outraged. Teddy needs a favor from Tawney, he is reluctant to help him. Bobby Dean gets questioned by the Sheriff.
Daniel goes to Atlanta, he enjoys the change and the big city. Teddy’s shifting moods make Tawney impatient and angry.
Daniel meets a local and interesting entrepreneur. Tawney makes an important decision while Amantha struggles with her new job. Daniel weeps after a lost one, at the funeral he gets more angry than expected. Tawney need Ted Jr. to keep a secret, Jon Stern is invited by Amantha to a popular Paulie attraction, revelations unravel. Janet didn’t want anything important for her birthday, her family ignores her request.
Daniel continues his quest for answers while the Sheriff is forced to help with an unpleasant task from the Senator Foulkes. Janet starts seeing her mistakes while Daniel asks for help. Jon Stern reveals some staggering news, it triggers a heated family discussion. Daniel faces a difficult decision, it makes him consider his future. The Sheriff visits Benji Melton.
Daniel doesn’t like Stern’s advice, Ted Jr asks for a favor while Tawney reconsiders her decisions. Amantha levels with Jon Stern.
