Imagine having a grandpa who takes you to inter-dimensional adventures. During Christmas Rick shrinks Morty, in order to save Anatomy Park, he injects him into a homeless man. Jerry attempts to have a Christmas without using any electronic devices. Shortly after he gets introduced to his new friends by his parents, he regrets his decision. Rick and Morty try to get to the end of a big mystery.
Rick finds a great solution for his family’s problem, that frees him to go on an adventure with Morty. Morty receives a love potion from Rick, it’s supposed to help him with Jessica. The serum backfires, everything is out of control, Rick attempts to fix it. Morty somehow manages to convince Rick to buy him a sexy robot, that only creates problems for both of them.
Rick connects his family’s TV with reality show’s from alternative universes, that allows them to see themselves in different light. Rick has a battle with the devil, Summer gets upset. Jerry and Morty hang out.
Rick has a fallout with Morty because he had a run in with some old colleagues.
Beth and Jerry leave Rick in charge, Morty is threatened that he will not go to any new adventures unless the house is clean when they return.
