TV Shows Like The Walking Dead
One of the more interesting lists I had to make, a big fan of The Walking Dead so I liked making this research, a lot of interesting TV shows out there that deserve your attention.
Some are very popular so you might have already watched them but I guarantee that you will find some that you haven’t heard of and that you’ll probably start watching, let’s start, shall we?
American Horror Story

American Horror Story was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Its on air since 2011, in the three years it has become one of the most recognizable TV shows.
Episodes have different characters and occur on different locations, from haunted houses, abandoned asylums and so forth. Its a very scary series and very entertaining, I dare you to watch it.
38 episodes so far in the three seasons, there will be a fourth season in 2014. The critics were satisfied with the show so the reception was positive.
Dead Set

Dead Set was on air for 4 days. Its a 2008 TV show created by Charlie Brooker and directed by Yann Demange, there are only 5 episodes.
A group of people are in Big Brother when an zombie outbreak happens, they are not aware of the things that are happening on the outside world.
An interesting short TV show.
The Last Ship

Genre: Post-apocalyptic

The Last Ship is a new TV show, it started airing this year. Only ten episodes so far.
Most of the Earth’s population is killed by an epidemic, we look at the way the members of a naval destroyer react and get used to that fact, a very interesting idea by the creators, let’s see how successful the series can be.
The critics so far are favorable, still we are waiting for your view, watch it and tell us what you think.
Falling Skies

Falling Skies was created by Robert Rodat, it has been on air since 2011. 37 episodes so far.
There are not many survivors of the alien attack that decasted Earth, in spite of everything the survivors regroup and try to fight of the aliens.
A cool science fiction project, I’m a big fan of aliens and post-apocalyptic movies so if you share my interest, then you should give it a chance. The first season had a lot of positive reviews.
Tales from the Crypt

Tales from the Crypt is the oldest series on this list, its a horror classic, it was on air from 1989 to 1996.
They are 30 minute long stories that include various genres, from sci fi, to black magic, to twists and so on.
There are 93 episodes and 7 seasons of this horror TV show.
The Strain

Genre: Drama, Vampire Horror
Running Time: 43 mins
Original Channel: FX
Another new series, it seems like it’s just the right time to make such a list, The Strain was created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan.
Dr. Ephraim Goodweather is called to inspect a mysterious viral outbreak, an outbreak that is very similar to an ancient strain ov vampirism.
The reception so far is very positive, I believe it’s the right time for you to start watching it.
True Blood

True Blood was created by Alan Ball, its on out TV’s since 2008. Listen to the theme song performed by Jace Everett!
Its about a girl, Sookie Stackhouse who is able to read people’s minds, one day a vampire walks into the bar where she works, note that vampire are out in the open for three years now…anyhow, her life changes completely. Other than vampires there are werewolves and other creatures.
So far there are 77 episodes and 7 seasons, the reception is very good, it’s a very popular series, give it a try.
Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad was on air from 2008 to 2013, what a great show, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul had an outstanding performance.
A chemistry teacher gets lung cancer, he is not able to pay for the treatment so he decides to become a drug lord, he partners up with one of his ex students who is already in that line of work, so he has some connections. His demise in the personality is amazing to watch as is his effort to keep it a secret, him coping with the cancer and dealing with the problems both at home and at work is a hell of a job.
5 seasons of enjoyment is what is awaiting you, if only I could erase my memory. Watch it!
The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries was on air from 2009. It was developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are the lead characters in this romance and horror series.
A high school girl has some picking difficulties, she is torn by two brothers who happen to be vampires.
111 episodes so far, initially the series received mixed reviews but as time went on the show gained on popularity.
Game of Thrones
Created by: David Benioff, D.B. Weiss
Genre: Fantasy, Drama
Running Time: 50-65 mins
Original Channel: HBO
Game of Thrones if on air since 2011. Since it has become one of the most popular TV shows, it was based on the books of George R.R. Martin.
It takes place in a fictional place called Westeros, the people there fight for the throne while a lot of other dangers are coming there way, White Walkers are coming alongside winter. The thing that makes this show exceptional is the fact that nobody is safe, any lead character can die in any given moment.
The reception is astonishing, its difficult to find someone who dislikes the Game of Thrones. Highly recommended if by any chance you have missed it thus far.
