Summary: Abe Woodhull is a New York farmer, he alongside his childhood friends form a ring. They become a group of spies that will change the course of America’s history.

Season 1 Recap
The year is 1776, the place New York. Abe Woodhull informs his wife that the war will be over until Christmas. Ben Tallmadge escapes after a battle only to be shot by Robert Rogers. In a meeting with General Charles Scott, Ben reveals that his men were ambushed.
Anna finds out that she is a suspect in Captain Joyce’s murder, she starts looking for evidence that will exonerate her. Simcoe refuses to give any answers after being interrogated by Ben and Caleb in the Connecticut jail. John Robeson admits killing Joyce, Abe is responsible for that. John accused him of starting the tavern brawl.
General Scott accompanied by Ben and Caleb lead a military convoy, their destination is Fort Lee, on the way they find out that it was taken by the British and that General Washington might have been captured. Eben starts suspecting that Caleb might desert and that they are fighting for the wrong sides.
Hewlett must think of a way to fortify the garrison after assuming that Caleb’s escape will preface a rebel attack. Richard is warned by Abe that the town will turn against him if the gravestones are removed. General Scott is urged by Ben to share his Intel with General Washington.
It’s Christmas time, Richard signs a bill that frees the slaves. Abe reveals to Richard that he needs to go to New York in order to sell more goods. Male slaves are shipped to fight, Ben is told to prepare for a secret mission. He and Caleb find themselves among an entire fleet, after jumping in the icy water, Ben loses consciousness.
Simcoe is one of the exchanged POW’s between the America and the British soldiers. Washington writes a letter to Howe where he describes the barbaric tortures that are happening on the ships. Washington orders an investigation of the the ships.
Samuel Tallmadge dies of dysentery, Rogers finds that out while on board the Jersey. Rogers finds the prisoner that knew Samuel the best, Selah Strong, whom Jordan instantly recognizes. Samuel is being pardoned and is allowed to leave.
Rogers fire upon Caleb and Selah, he is rebuked by the British Captain Blake for firing during a truce. Henry is sent by Caleb to find Ben and tell him a secret word that will reveal a rendezvous point.
It’s 1777 and it’s spring, Simcoe still hasn’t found the Patriot petition. Hewlett’s horse gets poisoned by Simcoe, the target was Hewlett himself.
Mary finds familiar names in Abe’s codebook at Woodhull Farm, Simcoe is told by a boy that hundreds of soldiers are descending on Setauket.
