Season 1 Recap
Coal Valley goes up in arms, Abigail and the widowed wives receive notices, and Elizabeth helps a mute student. Jack investigates few mysterious circumstances, meanwhile Jack investigates Cat Montgomery. A group of new male miners arrive in town, one of them begins courting Elizabeth.
Jack investigates a series of robberies, elsewhere Abigail must pay a steep price for the completion of a project she has working on.
Jack has a heart-to-heart with Adam, he also asks Elizabeth for a dinner, and Abigail does some detective work. Julie is becoming closer with Nathaniel, Jack is back in Coal Valley, and Elizabeth receives some unforeseen news. Bill Avery continues his investigation, meanwhile Elizabeth struggles to make a decision.
Season 2 Recap
Coal Valley’s trial gets underway in the town, Elizabeth’s family meets Jack, and the trial’s verdict is rendered by the Judge. Abigail is reunited with a family member, elsewhere a new man comes to town.
Elizabeth gets reacquainted with her old life, meanwhile Abigail receives troubling information. Abigail leaves the town, Jack is there to lend his help, and Elizabeth returns to town.
Elizabeth readjusts to country life, Gowen has met his match, and Bill busies himself in Hamilton. Bill returns to town on an undercover mission, meanwhile Abigail seeks advice. The school term gets off to a cold start, Jack gets involved, and Abigail moves forward with her life.
Jack and Elizabeth don’t see eye to eye, Elizabeth’s family puts a strain on Jack, and Bill sorts out a relationship from his past. Abigail develops a friendship and Rosemary questions her true feelings. Jack and Elizabeth are brought closer together, Bill’s shady dealings catch up with him, and Elizabeth has to make a choice.
