Arthur McCarthy makes a surprising choice, Ronny fakes an anniversary party, and Ronny looks for a way to be a good assistant. The family tries to support Jackie, the McCarthys work together with a clear goal on Thanksgiving. Jackie’s ex-boyfriend is gay, Marjorie finds out and subsequently tries to set him up with Ronny.
Marjorie prepares a care package for Arthur, Marjorie invites their upstairs tenant for Christmas. Marjorie’s overly competitive sister visits, Marjorie finds herself in a bind, Jackie tell Faddy’s mother about her pregnancy, and Ronny starts dating Doug.
